The Darkness Within
Many people, especially during childhood, are afraid of the dark, when nothing is clear. Because vision is limited, the other senses become enhanced, making everything feel a bit more “creepy”- noises grow more frightening and shadows loom larger.
In this short VR experience, the player steps into the shoes of a man recalling memories of his childhood home as he becomes increasingly scared of the night darkness. The farther the player explores the dark house, the scarier the environment grows through escalating visual and auditory effects.

Concept and design
All of the game takes place in a home environment. The house becomes darker as the player continues to explore the different rooms, accompanied by shadows and sounds to enhance the sense of helplessness and mystery.
There is a lit room (bathroom) that will allow the player to "take a break" from the fear they feel. In that room, no noises or visual effects exist.
