Sheli hi is a fully illustrated 24-page children's book. The book is both written and illustrated solely by me, and follow my aunt's journey as a single mother giving birth to a girl using a sperm donor.

 

Using metaphors from nature of seeds and flowers, the book shows the process of creating new life in a way that could be easy to understand for young children and talks about choice and love.  The book has pop-up illustrations, to add a layer or discovery and playfulness to the child.

The book is fully illustrated using watercolours, and comes with an additional gardening kit, so the parent and child could choose and grow this own special flower together.
