Maybe He Is A Magician?
Maybe He Is a Magician is a fully illustrated 24-page children’s book based on Lea Naor’s song "אולי הוא קוסם".
The story follows a mysterious man who appears in an old house on the hill, and a narrator trying to uncover his true profession.
I adapted the song into an adventure, adding two children — a boy and a girl — who set out to solve the mystery.
Small illustrated hints are hidden throughout the pages, helping young children who can't read, piece together the man’s true identity.
The original storyboard focused on the "Wizard," portraying him in different ways depending on the text.
The finalized storyboard focused on the "readers," who take the child on a journey of exploration and imagination. Small objects in the frames refer both to what the child wonders or imagines the strange man might be, and to his real profession.
