The Last Exhibiton

A 3D game built in Unity based on the Israeli rap opera play and movie, "Ha-ir Hazot" (העיר הזאת).

The game draws inspiration from the setting and concept of the original piece - Ha-ir Hazot is based on the film noir style and written entirely in rhyme, so the whole game does so as well.

Clothing and enviorment

Black and white environment with dramatic lighning, alongside  colour touches for important objects.

Elongated typography for titles (Blender), and a styled old-looking font for the regular text (Hillel).

Suited clothing and universal Art-Deco styled building to give an "foreign" look

Stylized cartoon looking characters to give the expirience a non realistic vibe.

The experience

A game is written in rhyme, where the player needs to solve a museum murder through the shoes of a private detective, while incorporating period and visual elements to enhance the sense of mystery.

To uncover the truth, the player interrogates people in the museum and explores its various rooms to discover typographic and physical evidence. All findings are added to a curated collection that can be reviewed at any time.

The characters in the game are presented in a unique 2D style illustrated by me. The drawings are stylized with sharp, strong shadows to recreate the Film Noir aesthetic in 2D.

Experience Production

The experience was developed in Unity. To ensure a clear and intuitive structure, each room and screen was first sketched in 2D storyboards to visualize the game’s concept and flow. After blocking out key elements in Unity to test interactions, I refined the visuals and added effects to amplify the game’s mysterious atmosphere.
